UNWTO Secretary-general and his entourage visit Free Sky, Shenzhen

On the afternoon of October 21, 2018, the UNWTO Secretary-general and his entourage visited Ping An Finance Center, a new landmark of Shenzhen. Accompanied by Zeng Yingru, deputy director-general of Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili and his entourage came to Free Sky on 116F of Ping An Finance Center, where they looked down upon the beautiful view of Shenzhen and exchange opinions about Shenzhen's development and new changes in world tourism.

 

 

Zurab Pololikashvili and his entourage arrived at Ping An Finance Center by car at 4:30 PM, and were warmly received by Zeng Yingru, deputy director-general of Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, and leaders from Shenzhen Culture and Sports Tourism Bureau and Free Sky.

 

 

The delegation visited the Silhouette Wall at B1 level, one of the world's top 10 high-rise buildings, and had a direct view of the height of Ping An Finance Center. Then, they went to the circular-screen movie area to watch the "Shenzhen Miracle" video and learn about the historical changes of the city. The stunning visual effects amazed all the visitors. Taking the 10m/s high-speed elevator, they reached Free Sky on the 116th floor. The guests were immediately impressed by the magnificent views on a 541-meter height. They watched by the window or took pictures to capture this wonderful moment.

 

 

In the VR area, Zurab Pololikashvili enthusiastically experienced the VR roller coaster. After the ride, he said: "That was so real. I was even too afraid to open my eyes." In the cultural and creative products area, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili and his entourage showed a keen interest in the various and colorful souvenirs displayed in the gift store and were happy to buy some products.

 

 

During the visit, Zurab Pololikashvili learned that Free Sky aimed to create a mode of integrating sightseeing, science and humanity, artistic emotions and social space. He spoke highly of it and believed it opened up a new way of thinking and direction in the field of high-rise sightseeing on the basis of tour and sightseeing.

 

 

When realizing that Free Sky is going to hold the "British Museum on the Cloud - Experience Hall" under the authorization of the British Museum on October 26, Zurab Pololikashvili said it was a good idea for Free Sky to join hands with the world-famous museum to hold experiential activities. This grand cultural feast is further evidence of Shenzhen's cultural advancement, organically combining the depth and breadth of the Museum in culture and art with the new height of Shenzhen represented by Free Sky. The tour ended in a cheerful atmosphere. When leaving, the delegation said that Free Sky brought a lot of surprises, and they were very excited to see it.
